Highly rated Manchester United youth prospect Tosin Kehinde says his decision to commit his international future to Nigeria ahead of England is irreversible even if he gets a call up by England.
Kehinde pledged his future to Nigeria and as first reported by Owngoalnigeria.com met with the Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr last month before their 0-2 loss against Serbia in an international friendly game played in London. His club commitments stopped him from training with the Nigerian team before the game.
According to one of his advisers since news of his meeting with Rohr became public knowledge, moves have been made to make him reverse his decision to commit to Nigeria but his decision is irreversible as his dream has always been to play for Nigeria at international level.
” Yes, they have been some moves of late to make him have a change of mind, although nothing official yet , just talks and questions about his decision. Although he has been told he should have been patient and wait for a call up by England “, his adviser said.
” No going back on his choice of Nigeria over England. It’s not even an option. Tosin has always wanted to play for Nigeria since the start of his career and he can’t be contemplating a change of mind after coming this close “.
