Belgium top division side Zulte-Waregem have taken the first step in severing their ties with Nigerian left back Kingsley Madu, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Madu has struggled to pin down a regular spot in the first team since joining the team from Slovakian side AS Trencin last season, no thanks to injuries and fitness issues.
This season he has been hard hit by injuries with only three league games under his belt. A far cry from last season where he made 12 league appearances with four more in the Cup as opposed to this season with just one cup appearance to his name.
His lack of game time has already cost him his national team spot and it appears it could also lead to his exit from the Belgium side, who are at the moment keen on shipping him out on loan.
” Madu has been told to leave Zulte-Waregem since January but not many teams were interested in him then he got injured. He will be on the move this summer. I’m sure about that, a loan looks likely but he could also be sold permanently”, Owngoalnigeria.com transfer expert Daniel Martins revealed.
