Coach NAC Breda – Sadiq Umar Is Playing Through The Pain Barrier For Us


The coach of Dutch side NAC Breda has confirmed that lanky Nigerian forward Sadiq Umar who is on loan at the club from Italian Serie A side Roma is presently playing despite being injured.


Sadiq has sparingly played in their last two games with a combined total of 25 minutes in their last two games when he came off the bench as opposed to previous games where he has started.

According to coach ‎Stijn Vreven, the 21 year old has been using pain killers to subject the effect of the pain of the injury he is currently nursing as they approach the business end of the season with relegation starting them in the face.

” Sadiq is not fully fit. The last game he scored for us against Sparta he had to take injections to play in that game and that was why he was introduced for the last 15 minutes of the game”, the coach revealed.

” We are taking our time with him because he is very important to our ambition of beating the drop. Last game he played for just five minutes despite not training at all in the build up to the game”.
