Turkish Side Bursaspor Not Keen On Permanent Deal For Porto Loanee Mikel Agu

Nigeria International midfielder Mikel Agu is in line for a return to Portuguese giants FC Porto after Turkish side Bursaspor turned down the option of turning his loan deal into a permanent deal.

Agu started the season very well for Bursaspor but since returning from the injury which sidelined him for two months, the 23 year old has failed to match same height that saw him earn a nomination in the Turkish League team of the week in the first half of the season.

He ended the season as a bit part player as the new coach didn’t give him enough playing time like Paul Le Guen, who was instrumental in Agu’s decision to move to the Turkish side on loan in the summer from FC Porto.

Porto gave Bursaspor the option of making his deal permanent but the Turkish side are not keen on taking up the option as talks over a permanent deal has not started yet, and it doesn’t look like it will start anytime soon.
