Super Eagles of Nigeria defender Chidozie Awaziem has been rated as the best player among players of Portuguese giants FC Porto who were sent out on loan.
Awaziem played 22 games in the French Ligue 1 with a goal to his name from his role as a central defender for Nantes in the just concluded season in France.
The defender was thrice nominated in the team of the week in France, and also won the club player of the month award once aside been nominated five times for the award.
His rise in profile has also helped him cement a spot in the senior national team of Nigeria, where he is favourite to be at the World Cup following his inclusion in the 30 man provisional list of the Super Eagles.
Tipped to play a role for FC Porto next season he wasn’t the only Nigerian who got a fair rating among players of Porto out on loan as Super Eagles midfielder Mikel Agu who spent the season at Bursaspor was also mentioned.
Agu who is also in the Eagles 30 man provisional list for the World Cup is also in with a chance of forcing his way into the first team plans of the Estadio Dragao outfit next season.
