Coach of the Flying Eagles of Nigeria Paul Aigbogun has admitted that a lot still need to be done in his team before their next round clash against Mauritania in the qualifiers for 2019 African Youth Championship.
Aigbogun pioneered his team to the next round on a 3-2 aggregate win over Guinea Bissau after yesterday’s slim 1-0 win in Calabar following their 2-2 draw away in Bissau a week ago.
Ibrahim Alhassan scored the lone goal for Nigeria in the game via the spot and the coach who watched on as his players fluffed so many good goal scoring chances has admitted that there’s still some work to be done.
Despite making three changes to the team that started against Guinea Bissau a week ago in Bissau, Aigbogun says his boys are still growing in confidence and some areas of the team need improvement.
” We have to keep on looking for options in key areas of the team. It’s just our second game so hopefully the team will get better. There are still areas we have to work on before our next game”, Aigbogun said.
Nigeria’s next game is against Mauritania in the next round, which is the last round of qualifiers for the African U20 showpiece, which serves as the qualifiers for the World level.
