Arsenal teen midfielder Kelechi Nwakali who impressed for the B team of Nigeria in their 2-3 loss to Atletico Madrid has given his views on the chances of making the Nigerian team for the World Cup in Russia.
Nwakali scored a wonderful goal to give Nigeria the lead in the encounter and his overall play was impressive as he linked up well with his teammates which include his elder brother Chidiebere Nwakali.
Omitted from the list of 30 players released by coach Gernot Rohr as his provisional squad for the World Cup, calls over his inclusion reached a new height yesterday after his dispaly.
The midfielder who spent last season on loan to two Dutch side VVV Venlo and second division side MVV Maastricht said his inclusion in the squad rest on coach Gernot Rohr.
“Scoring against the European champions was a thing of joy. We thank God for the moment. We work and keep pushing until we get there. I’m not the one to decide if I go to the World Cup.
