How Super Eagles Players Performed During Shooting Drills, Lokosa Shines, Strikers On Top

As part of their preparations for the friendly game against Congo DR players of the Super Eagles of Nigeria had a shooting exercise during their training witnessed by Owngoalnigeria.com this morning.

The players were up against the goalkeepers during the drills which lasted a little above 20 minutes with the goalkeepers taking turns to face the outfield players who were tasked with the responsibility to make sure their efforts is on target.

Junior Lokosa, Kelechi Iheanacho, Odion Ighalo and Simy Nwankwo were all impressive during the exercise. Iheanacho showed accuracy with his shooting while Ighalo’s effort were laced with power with Simy Nwankwo’s technique also impressive.

NPFL top scorer Lokosa wasn’t far off as he netted with almost all of his efforts even in the give and go drills between the strikers shortly before the start of the shooting drills.

Overall the strikers who were in the drill came out top with Chidozie Awaziem the only defender who held his own during the drills while Leon Balogun and William Troost-Ekong didn’t do bad as well.
