Coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr says he already has in his head 20 out of the 23 players he will name in his final squad for the World Cup in Russia starting in June.
Rohr is expected to name his final 23 man squad from the 30 players in his provisional list in June , but according to the coach who presently has 29 players in camp with Victor Moses the only exception, he already knows 20 of the players he will be taking to Russia.
He stressed that some players will be dropped after the game against Congo DR on Monday ahead of the friendly game against England as only 25 players will make the trip for the game at Wembley.
After the game, the coach explained that he will release his final 23 man squad after the England name from the 25 players who are expected to make the list for the game.
” I have in my head 20 of the 23 players going to the World Cup in Russia. Only 25 players will travel to England. The final list will be after the game against England”, Rohr revealed during their press parley earlier today.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria are in group D of the World Cup alongside Argentina, Iceland and Croatia with their first game scheduled to be against Croatia before taking on Iceland and later Argentina.
