Three players have been axed from the squad of the senior national team of Nigeria ahead of their planned trip to London where they will take on England in an international friendly on the 2nd of June.

Owngoalnigeria.com exclusively gathered that the trio of Uche Agbo, Junior Lokosa and Stephen Eze have been axed by the coach who is yet to decide on the remaining two players who will be sent packing from the team.

Plateau United shot stopper Dele Ajiboye will most likely lose out in the goalkeeping department with Rohr set to keep his faith in the trio of Francis Odinaka Uzoho, Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Daniel Akpeyi who have been with him since for the past six months.

Moses Simon and Chidozie Awaziem are also fighting to be named in the squad as both players are carrying knocks picked up in training. Simon will have a scan in England to determine if he will be fit on time for the World Cup.

Awaziem’s case is a bit complex because his ankle injury was thought to be nothing serious but he is yet to return to training and with the team set to depart for England tomorrow, his case could also be same as Simon, which means their possible inclusion in the squad will depend on a scan in England.
