Omeruo Drops Number 4 Shirt For Ndidi As Super Eagles Release Squad Numbers For Russia 2018

The one major change noticed in the Eagles recently released squad numbers for World Cup 2018 is the number 4 shirt which will be worn by Wilfred Ndidi instead of Kenneth Omeruo who used the number for three years.

Omeruo returned to jersey number 22, same number he was assigned when he first broke into the senior national team of Nigeria in 2013. He used jersey number 22 at the last World Cup in Brazil.

The Chelsea defender has used the number 4 shirt for the past three years but Ndidi will have the honor of wearing the number for Nigeria all through their campaign at the Russia 2018 World a Cup starting on the 14th of June.

Russian-Nigerian defender Bryan Idowu will wear the number 2 shirt while Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo gets the number 13 jersey with Alex Iwobi settling for number 18 as opposed to his club shirt number 17, which will be worn by vice captain Ogenyi Onazi.
