Rohr Hint At Dropping Ighalo, Shehu Abdullahi From His Starting Line Up For Croatia Tie

As Nigeria continue the build up to their opening Russia FIFA 2018 World Cup game against Croatia ‎, can exclusively reveal that the coach is considering dropping some players from his starting line up.

Coach of the Nigerian team Gernot Rohr has been taking notes from their recent friendly games football betting odds and from all indication he could axe some players who have failed to convince him in the last few games.

Although Rohr Insist he is not bothered about the poor run of results in their last game, which has seen the Super Eagles fail to win in their last four game with three losses suffered as well.

His statement isn’t entirely true because the poor performance of first choice duo Joel Obi and ‎Ogenyi Onazi against England appears to be among the reason why they didn’t play in yesterday’s 0-1 loss to Czech Republic.

Rohr’s statement after the game suggest that Odion Ighalo and Shehu Abdullahi are also running the risk of getting axed as starters for the Super Eagles opening game in nine days time.

” We have to work on some areas and make some changes in defence and attack. There is time to be ready for the World Cup. Some players are pushing to be considered and it’s a good thing to have competition in the team”, the Franco-German coach said after the game.
