During the session Oghenekaro Etebo continued his push to regain his spot in the starting line-up with a strong showing in a tactical game played in a five aside format. He was very assured in possession and won lot of duels.
The speed at which he operated with the ball at his feet also caught our attention. His performance showed he is clearly fired up to fight for a spot in the starting line up.
John Ogu who appears to have sealed a starting spot in the team on the strength of his strong performance in their last two friendly games where he played as part of a back three in the 3-5-2 formation also posted impressive performance.
His passing range was quite impressive same as the timing of his tackles and interception, he also impressed during the shooting drills and also the session on defending set pieces.
Alex Iwobi is likely going to the World Cup as the most fit player in the squad and he was as usual very impressive in yesterday’s session with close ball control, smart dribble in tight spaces and sprayed passes with ease.
Top striker Odion Ighalo found his scoring range yesterday by netting three goals in the session. Bar his goals he used his body very well in physical duels and his hold up play was also near perfect.
