Hot in demand Gent of Belgium forward Moses Simon who missed out on a spot in Nigeria’s World Cup squad due to injury is back to full fitness, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Simon was cleared to start running by the doctors of his club Gent three days ago and yesterday in his state of residence he played a kickabout with kids in Kaduna after some physical exercise at the Murtala Muhammed Square in Kaduna state.
Owngoalnigeria.com caught up with the 22 year old who has been heavily linked with a move to English Premier League side Liverpool shortly after the game which lasted close to an hour.
The forward was full of praise for the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) , coach Gernot Rohr and his teammates as they prepare for the World Cup 2018 in Russia.
” We have a very united team and that is largely due to the effort of the coach Gernot Rohr and the leadership of the NFF. A healthy spirit in camp is really important going into a major tournament like the World Cup “, Simon told Owngoalnigeria.com in an exclusive chat.
Speaking on the rumours linking him with a move to Liverpool, Simon stayed coy but hinted that a move to England is a possibility even though clubs from other European countries are interested in his services.
” I am aware of the report linking me with Liverpool and all I can say is let us wait and see. Gent and my agent have also received offers from clubs in some other European countries. My wish is to play in England, we have to wait and see “, Simon concluded.
