Gerrard was appointed coach of the Scottish side last month and reports has it that he has made the over six feet tall Nigerian striker his priority signing to bolster the attack of his side.
Serie A side Roma are open to the idea of letting the forward who spent last season on loan to firstly Torino before moving to NAC Breda in Holland leave on another loan spell. Although he is keen on pushing for a spot in coach Eusebio De Francesco team next season.
NAC Breda where he scored six goals in ten league games have the option of extending his loan by a year but nothing has been mentioned yet regarding the possible extension of the loan.
Speaking on links with Rangers, Sadiq said Gerrard is an idol he will like to work with but he is happy at Roma and hope to be a part of the first team next season.
” Few players of my age will say no to working with Gerrard. Rangers are also a traditional team but for the moment I’m happy at Roma and hope to be a part of the team next season. For now that is my plan, maybe in the future I will get to work with Gerrard “, he told Owngoalnigeria.com.
