Super Eagles and Gent of Belgium sensation Moses Simon has revealed that he was few details away from joining English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur two seasons ago.
In an exclusive chat with Owngoalnigeria.com in Kaduna, the 22 year old who missed out on a chance of representing Nigeria at the World Cup due to injury said Tony Harris who was managing his affairs cost him a big career move to Spurs.
” Two seasons ago I almost joined Spurs. The Sporting Director of Gent and that of Spurs were schedule to have a meeting with my agent in London after our clash in the Europa League, but my agent didn’t show up”, Simon told Owngoalnigeria.com.
” A fee has been agreed with Gent and what was left was personal terms and my agent was supposed to negotiate it on my behalf. Surprisingly he didn’t turn up. Even when Brighton came for me last season he did same thing”, the Liverpool target further reveal.
Simon has left Harris for a new management team in DW-Sports and he said he is very much at home with the way they are operating and feels no pressure or concern about his immediate future.
” My agent will handle all that has to do with my future. I’m fit and better now and with my contract at Gent running out, I’m not in anyway scared because I trust the team I’m working with now”, he concluded.
