Nigerians have been told not to worry about the Super Eagles losing in tomorrow’s encounter against Iceland by coach of the team Gernot Rohr while fielding questions at the press conference held earlier today.
Nigeria need at least a draw to stay alive in the tournament after losing their first game to Croatia 0-2. A situation which made a Nigerian journalist present at the press conference to ask him if he is scared about his role as coach of the Nigerian team if the team fail to win tomorrow.
Responding, Rohr who only recently signed a contract extension to continue as coach of the Nigerian team said he is not even thinking about a loss in the game before categorically stressing that Nigeria won’t lose to Iceland, who are having one point after their surprise 1-1 draw against Russia 2018 favourites Argentina.
” We won’t lose to Iceland. I’m not even thinking about what will happen if we lose because we won’t lose the game. I will prefer if you ask me this question after the game “, Rohr said.
