Danish top division side Brondby are weighing up the possibility of acquiring more Nigerian players in the coming months after Kano Pillars teen prospect Nazifi Yahaya dazzling performance during trials with the club.
Yahaya spent time training with the team two months ago and would have been offered a straight deal but his age made the club to defer the decision to sign him until he turns 18, the age where he is eligible to sign professional terms.
However he will return to the club in September to train with them again, but this time around with probably some other Nigerian players as the club have stepped up in their search for good players in Nigeria.
Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively report that scouts from the club are likely to visit Nigeria later in the year for a tournament put together by the agent who took Yahaya to Brondby Cem Sagar.
Sagar will host a tournament for scouts around Europe and Brondby are among the team expected to grace the event which will feature top Academy teams from Nigeria playing against themselves in Nigeria’s capital Abuja.
