Croatian top division side HNK Rijeka have agreed a loan deal with newly promoted Slovakian side SKF Sered ‎for their Nigerian goalkeeper David Nwokolor, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

Nwokolor will spend the entirety of next season on loan at the club, where Rijeka believe he will get the required games to aid his progress as a goalkeeper after his failure to force his way into their starting line up last season.

The Nigerian was at the club last season after a successful spell on loan to Bosnian side Vitez but he ended the season without keeping goal, no thanks to an injury which saw him drop down the pecking order at the club.

Still highly rated by the technical crew of the club, he will be hoping he make a mark in Slovakia with SKF Sered to put him in the spotlight for a call up to the Nigerian team. A feat he achieved while playing in Bosnia but unfortunately the tie he was invited for was later cancelled.
