As reported by this portal few days ago Mikel Agu who spent last season with Turkish side Bursaspor on loan from Portuguese giants FC Porto has rejoined the team for pre season training ahead of the start of next season.
Agu made a good impression on coach Sergio de Conceicao with his performance in Turkey and he has been rewarded with a chance to push for a spot in the first team starting from pre season training.
He has been on the books of the club since 2013 but injuries and the fact that the club has options in his midfield role have played a part in his inability to nail a spot in the first team.
However all of that could change next season if he impresses for the club in pre season games as coach Sergio Conceicao has made it known that he is among the list of players who spent last season on loan ,who are likely to be in his first team plans for next season.
Also former Nigeria youth international Musa Yahaya who is heavily linked with a loan move from the team has been added to the first team squad for pre season training after impressing as a wing-back for the B team last season.
Yahaya will arrive Portugal this weekend to begin training with the first team before a decision will be made on his loan destination as the club seek to get him more playing time to aid his development.
