Belgium top division side Gent are sweating over the future of their want-away Nigerian duo of Moses Simon and Samuel Kalu with both players still keen on a move away from the club.
Simon who is the most illustrious of the duo is widely expected to conclude a move away from the club before the end of this week but it appears he will not be heading to Liverpool.
Liverpool have been heavily linked with a move for the recently turned 23 year old but since having their first offer rejected, they are yet to contact Gent. A situation which has opened the door for the duo of German Bundesliga side Mainz 05 and Wolfsburg to be strong favourites for his signing.
On his part Kalu, who was the breakaway star at the club last season is waiting on an offer from Bayern Leverkusen after Monaco ended their interest in him due to the transfer fee in excess of €10m demanded by Gent.
Bayern Leverkusen are yet to firm up their interest for the wing forward, who is a product of the famous GBS Academy with his move largely dependent on their success in trading off forward Leon Bailey who has been linked with a move away from the Bundesliga side.
