Fringe Super Eagles ace Alhassan Ibrahim popularly referred to as Mu’azam has joined newly promoted Portuguese side CD Nationale after a planned move to fellow Portuguese side Maritimo fell through.
The former Akwa United forward was unveiled by Maritimo but the club failed to reach an agreement with his parent owners FC Heart of Abuja, the club he returned to after the expiration of his loan deal at Austrian side Austria Wien.
CD Nationale cashed in on the financial disagreement between FC Hearts and Maritimo to snatch him on a two year deal with the option of another year according to reports exclusively gathered by Owngoalnigeria.com.
He was unveiled today by the club who were champions of the Portuguese second division last season and he will be hoping to help them preserve their top flight status when the league in Portugal resumes.
Known for his skills, flair and ability to score vital goals, he has played for the senior national team of Nigeria and also the B team after representing same country at U17 and 20 level in 2013 and 2015 respectively.
