The Nigerian duo on the books of the first team of FC Porto are enduring contrasting fortunes at the Portuguese side as preparations for the start of the season in Portugal draws near.
While Chidozie Awaziem has displayed the same form that made him a regular at French Ligue 1 side Nantes where he was on loan last season, same cannot be said about Mikel Agu.
Agu who was on loan to Turkish side Bursaspor last season failed to impress coach Sergio Conceicao who in turn sent the Nigerian back home from their training camp after their first two pre season friendly games.
News source from the media in Portugal has it that Agu has already made it known to the hierarchy of the club that he wants a permanent move away from the club after failing to stamp his authority in the first team since moving there seven years ago.
Awaziem is however studying a contract extension offer from the club, who are keen on extending his current deal which has 24 months to run to avoid him starting next season with just a year left on his deal.
