Europa League – Philip Azango Nets Winner For Trencin, Leke James On Target

Former Plateau United and Nasarawa United forward Philip Azango scored the winner for his team AS Trencin in their 1-0 win Polish side Gornik Zabrze in the Europa League Qualifiers.

Azango scored was ended as the only goal of the game and the winner in the 39th minute in the game where as many as three Nigerians played for Trencin‎ with the fourth left on the bench.

Reuben Yem and Abdul Zubairu were the other Nigerians who were on for Trencin, same club that recently signed Peter Eneji and Yamen Tenton last week as exclusively reported by Owngoalnigeria.com. Emeka Umeh was an unused substitute in the game.

Norway returnee Leke James rounded up what was a comprehensive win for Molde with their third goal in the 79th minute as they run out 3-0 winners over Albanian side Laci FC in the qualifiers decided in Norway.

One cap Super Eagles midfielder, Usman Mohammed who scored a wonderful solo goal for the B team of the senior national team of Nigeria in their 2-3 loss to Europa League winners Atletico Madrid was left on the bench as his team slump to a 1-3 loss against St. Gallen of Switzerland.
