A late goal in stoppage time from Nigerian forward Henry Onyekuru helped Turkish side Galatasaray edge a keenly contested friendly game 1-0 against Tunisian side Club Africain.
On loan from English Premier League side Everton, Onyekuru who was on loan to Belgium side Anderlecht last season converted what was the last meaningful chance in the game to give his side the win.
The goal was his second pre season goal since his loan move and it could put him in a good position to battle for a starting spot when the hostilities resume in the league and also the UEFA Champions League.
Last season he was injured for almost the entire duration of the second half of the season and it cost him the chance to push for a spot in Nigeria’s squad for the World Cup in Russia.
Prior to his injury Onyekuru found the back of the net nine times in 19 league games for Anderlecht with two more comin g in the UEFA Champions League.
