Roma forward Sadiq Umar who is on loan to Scottish side Rangers has been given the go ahead to resume his career at the club, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
He is yet to feature for Rangers, who are campaigning in the qualifying rounds of the Europa League since his loan switch became official due to documentation.
However, his close associate Mohammed Mowiz Suleiman revealed that he has received his work permit, and he will also be in contention to play in their second leg tie in the Europa League Qualifiers against Croatian side Osijek.
” He has received his work permit. Sadiq can now play for Rangers in the Europa League return leg tie against Osijek. It’s a welcome relief to the forward and also for Rangers”, Mowiz said.
Rangers are holding a 1-0 lead from the first leg of their Europa League qualification tie against Osijek and their quest to scale through has received a boost with Sadiq now eligible to feature in the return leg at their home ground.
” The fans of Rangers will get to see why coach Steven Gerrard praise him shortly after his loan was officially announced. Hopefully he will replicate the same form that made him a hit at Dutch side NAC Breda last season “, he concluded.
