24 year old Nigerian midfielder Benjamin Teidi Opeyemi has emerged as the target of clubs in Europe after his dazzling performances for Latvian side FK Liepaja in the Europa League Qualification.
Opeyemi impressed mightily in their shock 2-1 win away to Swedish side BK Hacken after coming on as a substitute in the 63rd minute and playing a role in their winning goal which was scored in the 86th minute.
Although they fail to qualify after losing the first leg 0-3 at home, the Nigerian who was signed from Georgian side Meri before the start of the season in Latvia gave a good account of himself and that has put him on the radar of some Swedish teams.
So far he has been ever present for Liepaja with 14 appearances this season and a goal to his name in the 16 games old top division league in Latvia, where his team are placed 5th on the 8th team log.
A move away from the club this summer looks unrealistic with January the most possible period for him to take his trade out of Latvia, thanks to his fine performance against BK Hacken.
