Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr will be in the stands when his former club Bordeaux take on Latvian side Ventspils in the Europa League, the club media has announced.
Owngoalnigeria.com picked up a statement from the media of the French Ligue 1 side where they confirmed that Rohr who handled Bordeaux will be present for tonight game at the Matmut Atlantique.
He will also use the opportunity to run the rule on two Nigerian players who have been doing exceptionally well for Ventspils in the games of the Europa League Qualification.
Free scoring Adeleke Akinyemi and midfielder Tosin Aiyegun are the two names pencilled down by the coach of the Franco-German team for scouting later tonight.
19 year old Akinyemi has found the back of the net 13 times in 16 league games this season with a further six coming in the Europa League from just three games despite playing as a right winger in most games.
Aiyegun who recently turned 20 plays from the midfield and in 15 league games this season, he has scored four goals and he also found the back of the net once in three Europa League games.
Another Nigerian Abdullahi Alfa who played for the Nigeria U17 team of 2013 that lifted the World Youth Championship is also at the club but he is reportedly not in thje list of players to be scouted.
