Super Eagles of Nigeria forward Kelechi Iheanacho says he will love to keep his goal scoring run for Leicester City in their pre season games when the English Premier League resumes in a week time.
Leicester City will take on Manchester United in their opening Premier League game and Iheanacho who has found the back of the net in their last two pre season games, the last being the game against Valencia two days back is hoping to maintain same form against the Red Devils.
Iheanacho made this known while discussing the goal against Valencia which helped them claim a 1-1 draw on Leicester City official Television LCFC TV as sourced by Owngoalnigeria.com editorial team.
“It was a scramble with Madders (James Maddison) and then the ball bounced out and dropped to me so I finished it”, he told LCFC TV.
“Of course, I would love to keep it (goalscoring) going, it’s been a good pre-season for us so I’d love to keep the form and keep scoring goals. I think it’s going to be a good game ( Man United) but we need to keep working hard and make sure we get the goals,” added the Nigeria international.
Before their season opener against Man United, they will take on French Ligue 1 side Lille in their final pre season game and Iheanacho will be hoping to once again hit the back of the net.
