The uncertain future of Nigeria international forward Moses Simon is now certain with his close friend confirming his move to Spanish LaLiga side Levante from Belgium side Gent.
Mohammed ‘Mowiz’ Suleiman made the revelation during his sports programme on Liberty Radio while responding to questions on transfer rumours surrounding players from Kaduna state in northern Nigeria.
” Simon will sign for Levante next week. He had to stay behind to be with his wife who gave birth to their first child yesterday in Belgium. Barring any late change of plans he will arrive Spain to sign a four year deal with Levante”, Mowiz revealed during the programme monitored by Owngoalnigeria.com.
Mowiz who is known to be very close to Simon and his family also revealed that French Ligue 1 side St. Etienne made a late bid to snatch him from Levante but Simon settled for Levante due to obvious reasons.
” The lure of playing in the LaLiga was what swayed him to agree to join Levante. French Ligue 1 side St. Etienne were keen on him but a move to Levante ticks the right boxes at this stage of his career after the disappointments of missing out on a deal to Liverpool and later Mainz 05 “, he concluded.
