Highly rated 16 year old Nigerian midfielder Abdularazak Ishaq will later today depart Nigeria for Sweden where he will team up with Noorkoping for further training, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Razak is not eligible to sign a professional deal due to his age but the club have secured the first option to sign him when he turns 18, hence their decision to have him train with them intermittently till he turns 18.
He was granted leave to join the Nigeria U20 team for the African Youth Championship Qualifiers clash against Mauritania but after missing out on the trip for the away game, he inexplicably failed to turn up at their camp in Lagos for the return leg.
His impressive performance in training earned him positive remarks from the technical crew of the team, and there were plans to play him in the return legn but he didn’t turn up for the game as they ran out 5-0 winners to qualify for the 2019 African Youth Championship.
According to his travel itinerary picked up by Owngoalnigeria.com editorial team, he will depart Nigeria on a Turkish Airline flight later today via the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
Razak will have a stop over in Istanbul before connecting to Stockholm tomorrow, and possibly return to training with Noorkoping on Monday, when they resume for the new week.
