Super Eagles midfielder Anderson Esiti was left in shock after a proposed move from Belgium side Gent to Spanish La Liga outfit Levante broke down shortly after a fee was agreed for his transfer.
Esiti was due for a medical in Levante yesterday and subsequently withdrew from the squad of Gent for their Europa League clash only for the move to be aborted by the Spanish side.
It is believed that a disagreement over terms of the deal particularly on the issue of sell on clause and add ons due to Gent led to the collapse of the move even though both teams have agreed on €3m as transfer fee.
The power playing midfielder has however put the disappointment behind him and he is now fully focused on establishing himself at Gent, where he is the not the only Nigerian at the club despite the departure of Moses Simon, Samuel Kalu and Peter Olayinka.
On loan Liverpool forward Taiwo Awoniyi is at the club with Esiti as the two Nigerians on the book of the Europa League campaigners for Belgium.
