Former Manchester United youth prospect Tosin Kehinde who recently joined modest Portuguese side CD Feirense is not yet eligible to play in competitive games for his new team, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.
Kehinde joined the Portuguese team from Man United where he has been since moving to England from Nigeria with his family but the move is yet to be formal as both teams are still in talks over a compensation fee.
Although he left Old Trafford, where he represented their youth teams at various level following the expiration of his contract, Man United are still due some amount of compensation for his transfer.
The fee due to the Red Devils is yet to be agreed with his new club, and it was the reason why he didn’t make the matchday squad for their opening Portuguese Primeira Liga game against Rio Ave.
In his absence, Feirense won the game 2-0. Kehinde will be hoping he gets the all clear to make his competitive debut before their next league game on the 20th of August against Vitoria de Guimaraes.
