Kenneth Omeruo has extended his contract with English Premier League side Chelsea shortly before heading out on loan to La Liga outfit Leganes, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.
The defender confirmed his contract extension with Chelsea in a post on his verified social media handle while announcing his move to Leganes, where he will spend the season on loan.

Although the duration of the extension wasn’t stated, sources close to the player revealed his contract was extended for two more years meaning he now has three more years to run in his deal with the Stamford Bridge outfit.
Since joining Chelsea in 2012, Omeruo is yet to kick a ball in anger for the first team as he has been farmed out on loan seven different times with various coaches of the team not keen on giving him a chance to stake claim for a shirt.
He will be hoping to build on the success he achieved in Turkey last season while on loan to Kasimpasa, a form which saw regained his spot in the Nigerian national team at the World Cup 2018 in Russia.
