Gbolahan Salami has ended his search for a new club by pitching tent with Turkish second division side Denizlispor according to reports exclusively gathered by Owngoalnigeria.com editorial team.
Salami was released by Kazakhstan top division side Irtysh Pavlodar six months after he joined them from Finnish side KuPS, where he attained legendary status for his goal scoring feat during his two year stay at the club.
Earlier today, Salami joined Denizlispor on a what we gathered is a short term deal but with the option of extension if he impresses during his initial stay at the club, who are eyeing promotion to the top flight in Turkey.
Last season Denizlispor finished 15th on the second division table and Nigerian striker Friday Eze played for the club for six months on loan from to division side Konyaspor and he failed to score in the six games he played for the team.
27 year old Salami is faced with the immediate prospect of helping the team improve their present position of 9th on the 18 team table after two rounds of games with a win and a loss from their first two games of the season.
