Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has named five players on his standby list for Nigeria’s upcoming AFCON 2019 Qualifiers tie against Seychelles.
The coach released his original 24 man list for the game before an additional list of five players who were placed on standby by the Franco-German coach of the Nigerian team.
Standard Liege of Belgium midfielder Uche Agbo and Lokomotiv Plovdiv defence hard man Stephen Eze were the two known names in the list former Nigeria U17 and 20 captain Musa Muhammed also dropping to the standby list.
FC Luzern forward Blessing Eleke was also named on the list released by the coach as the alternate forward despite his failure to score a goal this season from five games played so far.
Eleke has played two games in the Europa League, two in the Swiss Super League and one in the Swiss Cup so far since his move from NK Olimpija Ljubljana of Slovenia after a short loan spell with Israeli side FC Ashdod.
