Chelsea Nigerian winger Victor Moses will play in his preferred role as a winger this season for Chelsea according to coach Maurizo Sarri who took over from Antonio Conte this summer.
Moses functioned effectively as a right wing-back under Conte for two seasons but with Sarri’s style of play the winger has only managed just eleven minutes of football this season in the English Premier League.
Sarri revealed the recently retired Nigeria international will play as a winger as opposed to his role as a wing-back the previous seasons under Conte.
Sarri was asked why Moses why not playing and replied: ‘Because he changed the position in the pitch. Now we are trying to let him to play like a winger.
‘So we changed the position and in the new position I think he needs to improve.’
Moses was a winger before Conte deployed him in the wing-back position and helped Chelsea win the Premier League playing in that position.
