Nigeria U20 midfielder Nnamdi Ofoborh is highly tipped to feature for English Premier League outfit Bournemouth this season after a stellar season with the youth team last term.
Already he has made the bench for the first team in the Carabao Cup 3-0 victory over MK Dons in the second round of the tournament but he didn’t get to play in the game.
Coach Eddie Howe rates the Nigerian highly and even convinced the club management to hand the talented midfielder a professional contract in December 2017.
Voted the club’s Young Player of the Year, Ofoborh played for the Nigerian U20 team in their two legged friendly game against Egypt earlier this year and made a good impression.
Club engagements denied him the chance to play for the Nigerian team during the qualifiers for the African Youth Championship but he will likely represent the team next year at the championship.
Talks of a quick progression to the first team was escalated during the week following injuries to some senior players who are playing same role like Ofoborh, which could mean a first team debut is in earnest.
