Freshly invited Super Eagles forward Samuel Kalu has played down the similarities in his game and that of Chelsea ace Victor Moses, who announced his retirement from the Nigerian team two weeks ago.
Kalu who is also a winger like the Chelsea man was named in Nigeria’s squad for their upcoming game against Seychelles this weekend and the Bordeaux man is viewed by many as a like for like replacement for Moses.
Speaking to Owngoalnigeria.com, Kalu refused to admit he has same qualities like Moses even though they are both wingers who can operate on both flanks and even as wing-backs on either flanks.
” Victor Moses is special and unique in his own way. I am Samuel Kalu, I have my strength and areas I should improve on like every other footballer. Honestly I think we are two different type of footballers “, Kalu told Owngoalnigeria.com in an exclusive chat.
” Calling me his replacement isn’t a bad tag but I am not on his level yet. Hopefully I will reach and even surpass his career height but for now I just want to focus on my game and grow. That’s my immediate aim”, he remarked.
