As Nigeria filed out for their first training session today ahead of the game against Seychelles on Saturday, the Nigerian team will today hold their first real training session in preparation for the game.
With the arrival of goalkeepers Daniel Akpeyi and Ikechukwu Ezenwa, coach Gernot Rohr now has a pool of 20 players to train with this morning but all eyes will be on the players who are with the squad for the first time.
Rotherham defender turned midfielder Semi Ajayi, FC Porto B midfielder Kelechi Nwakali, Paderborn of Germany left full back Jamilu Collins and Bordeaux winger Samuel Kalu are the players with the squad for the first time.
Teammates and coaches of the team will be keen to see how the newly invited players will perform in their first training session of the team especially when they go up against the old players they are expected to challenge for a spot in the team.
At least one among the four players is expected to start the game against Seychelles following the spate of withdrawals which has hit the Nigerian team in the build up to the game.
