The doubts surrounding the fitness of newly invited Super Eagles left back Jamilu Collins of German second division side Paderborn was laid to rest as the 24 year old took part in the team Foot-Volleyball session witnessed by Owngoalnigeria.com correspondent.
Collins went off injured with six minutes left to play in Paderborn’s 2-2 draw against Bochum and that led to doubts over his fitness ahead of his teaming up with the Nigerian team after receiving his maiden call up to the senior national team of Nigeria.
Although he confirmed to Owngoalnigeria.com that he is fit and ready for his debut if called upon, they were still some who felt he could be hiding the injury just to be a part of the Nigerian team for the AFCON 2019 Qualifiers tie against Seychelles on Saturday.
However he trained fully yesterday with the rest of the team in their session on the beach and he didn’t show any sign of discomfort during the session which lasted a little over an hour.
He will once again be with the rest of the team when they train later this morning in what will be their first real training session ahead of the game against Seychelles on Saturday.
