It appears the battle for the two players who will play from the flanks for Nigeria against Seychelles in Saturday’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers is the fiercest in the camp of the Nigerian team.
Presently the trio of Henry Onyekuru, Samuel Kalu and Ahmed Musa are battling for the two slots available for right and left winger respectively based on Owngoalnigeria.com checks on the training of the team.
Musa looks certain to start and although Onyekuru has been doing very well in training, Kalu has so far made his mark with his directness, pace, strength and particularly his ability to track back and defend after losing possession.
Kalu is also a better crosses of the ball than the aforementioned duo although Musa tops them all in terms of scoring with Onyekuru also decisive in front of goal.
Coach Gernot Rohr rotated the trio throughout the session witnessed by our correspondent and from all indication a late decision might decide who gets the nod to start on flank.
