How Super Eagles 4-4-2 Formation Will Work Against Seychelles – Musa As Captain, Injury Rules Collins Out

The recently released line up of the Super Eagles of Nigeria for the ga‎me against Seychelles saw coach Gernot Rohr settling for a 4-4-2 formation as opposed to his favorite 4-2-3-1 formation.

In the line up, the Nigerian team will be captained by Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia forward Ahmed Musa who will operate from the left of the attack of the Super Eagles while Bordeaux winger Samuel Kalu will play from the right.

Jamilu Collins of Paderborn failed a late fitness test, hence Rohr was forced into a late change by bringing in Chidozie Awaziem who will play as a right back while Bryan Idowu will return to his left full back position. The duo of Kenneth Omeruo and Leon Balogun will play as central defenders.

In the midfield, as exclusively reported by yesterday, Ogenyi Onazi and Wilfred Ndidi will play as the two deep lying men in midfield while Kelechi Iheanacho will operate in the number ten role, or better still behind top striker Odion Ighalo.
