Seychelles 0-3 Nigeria – Kalu Shines, Musa Stars, Ighalo Ends Goal Drought, Awaziem On Target

The Super Eagles of Nigeria bounced back to reckoning in the ‎race to be at the next Africa Cup of Nations with a 3-0 win over Seychelles in a one sided affair.

Nigeria deservedly took the lead courtesy of an own goal after a well hit shot from Ahmed Musa came off the bar and rebounded onto the goalkeeper before nestling in the net.

Chidozie Awaziem extended Nigeria’s lead later on when he tucked home the rebound from a free kick from Kelechi Iheanacho which came off the bar to give the Super Eagles a commading lead into the half time break.

The win was completed midway through the second half when Ighalo converted from the spot to give Nigeria a 3-0 lead following a foul on the lively Samuel Kalu.

Although the Eagles failed to score an extra goal on what looked like a difficult pitch to play on, the win means they now have three points after losing their first game of the qualifiers 0-2 at home to South Africa.
