In a bid to resurrect his career from his release by Saudi Arabia outfit Al-Ahli, Godfrey Obaboana has joined Croatian side HNK Gorica according to an announcement by the club.
The duration of the contract he signed wasn’t stated by the Croatian side but Owngoalnigeria.com sources said it could be a two year deal with the option of another.
Obaboana played 8 games for Al-Ahli before leaving the club in a rather unceremonious fashion as exclusively reported by this portal after his deal was terminated.
For four seasons he defended the colours of Rizespor of Turkey before leaving as a free agent after the expiration of his deal. He will immediately start playing for Gorica once the formalities of his transfer goes through.
Modest side Gorica now have as many as three Nigerians on their books as the club also signed former Nigeria U17 and 20 captain Musa Muhammed as well as ex U23 ace Atiemwen Iyayi Believe.
