Super Eagles and Arsenal forward Alex Iwobi says his game has improved under new Arsenal coach Unai Emery after starring in their 4-2 Europa League win over Ukraine side Vorskla.
Iwobi capped his fine performance during the game with the assist for the first goal scored by Pierre Emerick Aubameyang as Arsenal ran out comfortable winners to go top of their group.
Speaking after the game, the 22 year old who had his breakthrough at Arsenal two seasons ago under former coach Arsene Wenger said his game has improved due to the demands of the new manager at Arsenal.
” It’s true. He ( Emery) demands a lot. We’re working a lot harder in training, running a bit more but as you can see we’re buying into his ideas and enjoying our time with him. There’s new ideas, I’m stil learning a lot from him, he’s trying to make me get more goals and be creating more chances for my teammates, so he’s helping me learn as well”, Iwobi said.
Despite his near faultless display last night, it’s still unclear if he will keep his spot in the team when they play Everton on Sunday in the English Premier League, where they are gunning for their fourth straight win.
