SC Kriens of Switzerland goalkeeper Sebastian Osigwe wouldn’t be a part of the Super Eagles for competitive games this season despite coach Gernot Rohr confirming his intention to cap the 24 year old.
Rohr said last month that he is monitoring the performance of the former Nigeria U20 trainee who has so far kept goal in the six games his team have played so far in the Swiss second division, where they are currently in 7th position.
Osigwe who has not kept a clean sheet this season is presently behind the trio of Francis Uzoho, Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Daniel Akpeyi in the plans of coach of the Super Eagles Rohr.
The coach will continue to monitor him in league games ahead of a possible call up which will likely come in any of the friendly games of the team later in the year but not the October back to back clash against Libya in the race to qualify for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Last season, the Swiss born goalkeeper was pivotal for SC Kriens with his heroics between the stick cited as part of the reason why they gained promotion to the second division.
