Why Arsenal Loanee Kelechi Nwakali Was Missing For Porto B In Last League Game

Nigeria international midfielder Kelechi Nwakali was missing from the squad of the B team of FC Porto in their game over the weekend which ended in a 1-1 draw against UD Oliveirense on Saturday.

Nwakali wasn’t listed in the squad for the game, a situation which led to Owngoalnigeria.com making an inquest on why the 20 year old, who is on loan from Arsenal didn’t make the team for the game.

We gathered the coach of the first team Sergio Conceicao asked the coach of the handlers of the B team to play some first team players who are not getting games for the first team since the start of the season.

The decision led to the axing of several regulars for the B team ‎in the squad for the game against UD Oliveirense last weekend and the other Nigerian at the club Musa Yahaya was also affected by the decision.

Furtermore Nwakali also returned to Nigeria to process his Portuguese visa over the weekend am Owngoalnigeria.com exclusively gathered that he was at the Portuguese embassy this morning in Abuja .

‎Since joining Porto B before the start of the second division league in Portugal, Nwakali has made four appearances from the five games they gave played this season and they are presently 17th on the 18 team log.

Former Nigeria U17 and 20 ace Musa Yahaya has also made same amount of appearance for the B team mostly from his new role as a wing-back as opposed to his favourite role as a wing forward.
