Following his recent scoring streak in Belgium, on loan Wolfsburg striker Victor Osimhen has earned praises from his coach at Charleroi Felice Mazzu who made the club sign the 19 year old.
Osimhen followed up his first professional league goal scored during the weekend in their 1-1 draw against Waasland-Beveren with another goal in yesterday’s 2-0 Beker Van Belgie cup win over VC Endracht Aalst 2002.
Asked about the form of the forward who struggled for form, fitness and goals during his 18 months stint at Wolfsburg, the coach said he never doubted the potentials of the former World Youth Championship top scorer.
” Victor (Osimhen) can score goals. We know he can do that and getting in shape is what he needed. He still has to improve but his confidence is back which is good for his progression with us”, the coach said after yesterday’s game.
The scorer of ten league goals at the 2015 World Youth Championship is on a season long loan contract at Charleroi from Wolfsburg with the Belgium side inserting a clause which gives them the power to sign him permanently at the end of his loan deal.
