Rohr Still Mulling Over Handing Call Up To Enyimba’s First Choice Goalkeeper Theophilus Afelokhai

A decision on handing a call up to Theophilus Afelokhai, the first choice goalkeeper of Nigeria’s sole flag bearers in CAF organised club competition Enyimba FC of Aba is yet to be arrived at, can exclusively reveal.

Afelokhai eclipsed former Super Eagles first choice Ikechukwu Ezenwa in the pecking order at Enyimba following the suspension of regular shot stopper Fatau Dauda by the club following an act of lack of discipline.

Since then Afelokhai has performed credibly well in their CAF Confederation Cup games and even kept goal in their must win final Aiteo Cup game even though Ezenwa has been first choice in the competition.

Despite his present status as number one ahead of Ezenwa, coach Gernot Rohr views Ezenwa as a senior member of his team hence he might yet make the squad for the Libya game despite playing second fiddle to Afelokhai in Enyimba.

Former Kano Pillars safe hands Afelokhai will however be placed under close scrutiny by the coach for invitation for future games, If he misses out on a spot in the games against Libya.
